The Story

Quality, personality and great wines. This is Il Rocchin Gavi today, the farm founded by the Zerbo family. The company has always put the territory at the center of its project with the aim of enhancing the history and culture related to the local grapes. It extends over 100 hectares, 44 of which are planted with vines, dedicated to the production of Barbera and Gavi wine. The last one, also called “Cortese di Gavi”, is one of the historically local wines which is named after the city and which shows its best characteristics in these areas also thanks to mixed calcareous clayey soils with thin sandy layers.

 

Gavi is immersed in a multitude of medieval villages, each with its own walled fortress or stately castle, which alternate with vineyard landscape and sporadic thickets. So we prepared a guided tour at our estate to let you grasp the essence of this area. You can walk through the vineyards, see the cellar and finally enjoy a tasting of Il Rocchin Gavi wines accompanied by a platter of cold cuts, focaccia di Gavi, breadsticks and local cheeses. You can visit us by reservation on Friday and Saturday. We are waiting for you!
